Answer:

5(x+4)(x+1)(x-3)

Step by step:

We know that the polynomial has 3 roots -4, -1, & 3.
Therefore the factors of the polynomial are (x+4), (x+1) and (x-3).
Since the coefficients of x^3 is 5

Thus final answer comes out to be

5(x+4)(x+1)(x-3)

If Usain Bolt can run a marathon (26.2) in 2 hours and 15 minutes, how fast would he run if he ran at the same constant rate?
inn [45]

Answer:

The speed of Usain Bolt is 0.194 miles per minutes to complete the marathon.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The Distance of marathon = 26.2 unit

The time taken to complete marathon = 2 hours and 15 minutes

                                                                = 120 + 15 = 135 minutes

Let The constant speed of Usain Bolt = S unit per minutes

So, Speed = \frac{Distance }{Time}

Or, S  = \frac{26.2 }{135}

∴ S = 0.194 unit per minutes

Hence The speed of Usain Bolt is 0.194 miles per minutes to complete the marathon. Answer

1. I chose Volleyball, which has only 2 kids. Football has 9 kids. So to find how many more kids prefer Football over Volleyball we subtract the two.

9-2= 7

2. The least popular sport is Volleyball, which again is 2.
And soccer has 7 kids who prefer Soccer over any other sport.

So it’s the same process, 7-2= 5

Let f(x)=3x+1 and g(x)=2x2−1
Find f(g(2))

10

22

97

28
kupik [55]

Answer:

f(g(2)) = 22

General Formulas and Concepts:

Pre-Algebra

  • Order of Operations: BPEMDAS

Algebra I

  • Composition of functions

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

f(x) = 3x + 1

g(x) = 2x² - 1

Step 2: Find g(2)

  1. Substitute: g(2) = 2(2)² - 1
  2. Evaluate: g(2) = 2(4) - 1
  3. Multiply: g(2) = 8 - 1
  4. Subtract: g(2) = 7

Step 3: Find f(g(2))

  1. Define: g(2) = 7
  2. Rewrite: f(7)
  3. Substitute: f(7) = 3(7) + 1
  4. Multiply: f(7) = 21 + 1
  5. Add: f(7) = 22

And we have our final answer!
