Answer:

a) 6 miles

b) 12:35 pm

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 9 am to 10:30 am = 1 hour and 30 mins = 1.5 hours

4mph x 1.5 = 6miles

b) 10:30 am + 50 mins = 11:20 am

1 hour = 60 mins

60/4 = 15 mins

1 1/4 = 1 hour 15 mins

11:20 am + 1 hour 15 mins = 12:35 pm

Answer:

a) 6

b) 12:35 ( not so sure about this one)

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

distance = speed * time

ruths distance = 4* 1.5 (because it takes her 1h 30 mins)

distance = 6miles

b)  1/4 here is quarter so, 15mins

10:30 and then add 50 mins to that.

     she leaves at 11:20 and takes 1h and 15 mins ( 75mins) to walk home

     so 11:20 + 1h 15min

     = 12:35

hope this helps :)

David spent $5 less than 1/4th of his original amount of money. He has $53 left. What was David’s original amount of money?
jeyben [28]
Well, first you have divide 5 by 1/4 which will give you 20. 53 + 20 = 73
you can check your awnser by subtracting 73 from 20, which will give you 53.

Answer:

330ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of figure = Area of rectangle + Area of semicircle

                       =            lb                +   pi r²/2

                       =         10 x 8             +  3.1 x 4 x 4/2 ( as 8 is diameter)

                       =          80 ft²               +  248  ft²

                       =  328 ft² => 330ft²

The image of the point ( 0 , 7 ) (0,7) under a translation is ( − 2 , 5 ) (−2,5). Find the coordinates of the image of the point
avanturin [10]

Given:

The image of the point (0,7) under a translation is (−2,5).

To find:

The coordinates of the image of the point (5,−2) under the same translation.

Solution:

It is given that, the image of the point (0,7) under a translation is (−2,5). Here, the x-coordinate decreased by 2 and the y-coordinate decreased by 2 so the rule of translation is:

(x,y)\to (x-2,y-2)

Using this rule of translation, the image of (5,−2) is

(5,-2)\to (5-2,-2-2)

(5,-2)\to (3,-4)

Therefore, the coordinates of the image of the point (5,−2) under the same translation are (3,-4).

A pair of opposite rays would be.
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Option (4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Definition of a ray states that a segments which connects two points but extending only in one direction infinitely is called as Ray.

Opposite rays will have a common end but the direction of the arrows will be different.

Therefore, from the picture attached,

Opposite rays will be PA and PB.

Option (4) will be the correct option.
