Answer:

1.)The types of mutations include: Missense mutation: This type of mutation is a change in one DNA base pair that results in the substitution of one amino acid for another in the protein made by a gene. Nonsense mutation: A nonsense mutation is also a change in one DNA base pair

.2.) Some mutations don't have any noticeable effect on the phenotype of an organism. This can happen in many situations: perhaps the mutation occurs in a stretch of DNA with no function, or perhaps the mutation occurs in a protein-coding region, but ends up not affecting the amino acid sequence of the protein.

3.)External factors include physical and chemical signals. Growth factors are proteins that stimulate cell division. – Most mammal cells form a single layer in a culture dish and stop dividing once they touch other cells. Two of the most important internal factors are kinases and cyclins.

4.) In normal cells, the cell cycle is controlled by a complex series of signaling pathways by which a cell grows, replicates its DNA and divides. ... In cancer, as a result of genetic mutations, this regulatory process malfunctions, resulting in uncontrolled cell proliferation.

When two new species arise from one original species is called _________________?
horsena [70]
I believe it is called divergent evolution, which is the accumulation of differences between groups which can lead to the formation of new species, usually a result of diffusion of the same species to different and isolated environments which blocks the gene flow among the distinct populations allowing differentiated fixation of characteristics.

Hope this helps! :)

Which statement best explains the impact of favorable oceanic conditions on the Geosphere?
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

The best answer is "Ocean waves add more sand to beaches"

Explanation:

based on statement above, the oceanic conditions are changes in ocean parameters (temperature and movement) and substances which contain in oceans (salinity, nutrient availability, oxygen and carbon dioxide level, etc).

Geosphere is a part of the earth that included the earth's interior, landform, rocks, and mineral. There are lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and, anthroposphere.

on the answer choice, the ocean wave is the example of the oceanic condition which has changed in movement. and the beach is an example of the lithosphere.

An increase in the greenhouse effect causes an increase in___
andriy [413]

The answer is option B "temperature." Greenhouse effect is the process of trapping the suns heat in the lower atmosphere. A increase of greenhouse effect would cause surface temperatures to rise.  Which then contributes to global warming because of melting the ice bergs in cooler areas on Earth and causing waters to rise and creating storms. It's not option A because the sun gives off heat or harmful radiant waves which doesn't increase carbon dioxide levels. Wouldn't be option D because it would contribute but it wouldn't happen without a increase of temperature. It also wouldn't be option C because oxygen isn't relevant in this case.

Hope this helps.
