In a 2-column proof, the main parts include:

The given - This is what the problem gives you to start off with

The prove/conclusion - This is what the problem asks you to prove with the proof

The statements - These are the parts that you put in the first column that you will later prove.

The reasons - These are the ways you know that the things you put in the statements are true

The diagram - It may not always be given, but it is basically the image that you are proving.

<span>The <u>correct answers</u> are:

Given; prove; statements; and reasons.

Explanation:

The <u>given</u> is important information we are given at the beginning of the proof that we will use in constructing the proof.

The "<u>prove</u>" is the statement we are trying to prove.

The <u>statements </u>are the steps we use to get from our given to what we're trying to prove.

The <u>reasons</u><span> are the theorems, conjectures, properties, and corollaries we use to justify the steps we take in the statements part.</span></span>

Keith exercises x hours a week. Troy exercises three hours less than Keith and Joe exercises two times more than Troy. Which exp
umka21 [38]
If Keith is represented by x, and Joe is three less than Keith, Troy is represented by x-3.
Then, we know that Joe exercises for twice the amount of time as Troy, we multiply the expression for Joe by two.

Keith = x
Troy = x-3
Joe = 2(x-3)

nignag [31]

Answer: 18 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

There are four equal triangle and a rectangle.

Formula of a rectangle = b * h = 2*3 = 6

Formula of triangle =  \frac{bh}{2} but there four of them so we times them by 4, this leaves us with 2 (b * h) = 2(2*3) = 12

Area of pentagon = area of all triangles + rectangle

Area of pentagon = 12 + 6 = 18

Hope this helps.
