(9.95x2)+14.95)=34.85

34.85x.06=2.09

34.85+2.09=36.94

so the total cost is 36.94$

Point H is the midpoint of FG. What is the value of y?
Delicious77 [7]

The value of y is 17/5.

What is Midpoint?

A midpoint is defined as in the middle of the line connecting two points a position known as a midpoint. A location in the middle of a line connecting the two points that are equally far from both points is the midpoint.

Let two points A (x₁, y₁) and B (x₂, y₂), the midpoint between A and B is given by,

M(x, y) = (x₁ + x₂)/2, (y₁ + y₂)/2

Given that H is the midpoint of FG

G(4x, 6y + 6), H(4, 15) and F(2y+2, 2x+4)

⇒ (4x+2y+2)/2 = 4 and (6y+6+2x+4)/2 = 15

⇒ (4x+2y+2) = 8 and (2x+6y+10) = 30

⇒ 4x+2y = 6 and 2x+6y = 20

⇒ 2x+y = 3 and x+3y = 10

⇒ x = 10 - 3y

Substitute the value of x into 2x+y = 3

⇒ 2(10 - 3y) +y = 3

⇒ 20 - 6y +y = 3

⇒ 5y = 17

⇒ y = 17/5

In ΔABC, AD and BE are the angle bisectors of ∠A and ∠B and DE║ AB. Find the measures of the angles of ΔABC, if m∠ADE: m∠ADB = 2
drek231 [11]

Answer: ∠A=48°,∠B=48°,∠C=84°.

Step by-step explanation:

Given: AD and BE are the angle bisectors of ∠A and ∠B

i.e ∠6=∠7 ( ∵ Angles formed after AD bisected ∠A)

∠4=∠5 ( ∵ Angles formed after BE bisected ∠B)

Also, DE║AB

⇒ ∠2=∠7 (∵ Alternate interior angles)

   ∠3=∠6 (∵ Alternate interior angles)

And ∠ADE : ∠ADB =∠2:∠3= 2:9 =2x : 9x ..(1)

To Find: ∠A,∠B,∠C.

Solution: ∠2=∠7 (∵ Given) ...(2)

∠2=∠4 (∵ angles on the same segment) ...(3)

∠4=∠5 =∠B/2 (∵ Given) ...(4)

∴ In Δ ABD

∠3+∠4+∠5+∠7 = 180 (∵ Sum of interior angles of a triangle)

From equation 2,3,4,5, Put values

9x+2x+2x+2x =180°

⇒15x = 180°

⇒x=12°

Putting values in equation (4) ⇒ ∠ B =2*(2*12) = 48°

Also, ∠B=∠A=48°

Now,in Δ ABC

∠C+∠B+∠A= 180°

⇒48°+48°+∠C= 180°

⇒∠C=84°
