Denmark Vesey was born as a slave in Denmark. After winning a lottery, he bought his freedom for $600. The moment he was set free, he focused on helping the other slaves to be free. He planned on having a revolt by recruiting many slaves. However, his plan did not materialize because two of the slaves were traitors. They told their masters about his plan. 2. Storage: It refers to the ability to retain a particular information in the memory. In other words, it maintains information over time.

3. Retrieval: It refers to the phenomenon of accessing a piece of information whenever required that is taking out the information from the memory to the conscious awareness.

Why did native American have a high death rate from European disease
Greeley [361]

Answer:

There were an estimated 18 million Native Americans living north of Mexico at the beginning of the European invasion. Prior to the arrival of the Europeans, American Indians were remarkably free of serious diseases. People did not often die from diseases. As the European explorers and colonists began to arrive, this changed and the consequences were disastrous for Native American people. The death tolls from the newly introduced European diseases often reached 80-90 percent. Entire groups of people vanished before the tidal wave of disease.

Explanation:

The diseases brought to this continent by the Europeans included bubonic plague, chicken pox, pneumonic plague, cholera, diphtheria, influenza, measles, scarlet fever, smallpox, typhus, tuberculosis, and whooping cough. The diseases introduced in the Americas by the Europeans were crowd diseases: that is, individuals who have once contracted the disease and survived become immune to the disease. In a small population, the disease will become extinct. Measles, for instance, requires a population of about 300,000 to survive. If the population size drops below this threshold, the virus can cause illness and death, but after one epidemic, the virus itself dies out.

Another important factor in the European diseases was the presence of domesticated animals. The source of many of the infections was the domesticated animals which lived in close proximity with the humans.

Overall, hundreds of thousands of Indians died of European diseases during the first two centuries following contact. In terms of death tolls, smallpox killed the greatest number of Indians, followed by measles, influenza, and bubonic plague.

"Nepotism and favouritism are also corruption".Justify it.
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

Nepotism and favoritism are also forms of corruption because the terms of participation and inclusion are not transparent. Not everyone is given an equal opportunity to participate.

Explanation:

Corruption is a serious problem the world over as it divests many national governments and political systems of valuable resources as funds and state resources are diverted to personal interests and personal gain. One example of corruption that is highly prevalent is nepotism -- political figures and other persons of power will use their influence in order to find positions of influence for their friends and family that are generally well renumerated and/or allow the person to grow their sphere of influence and to tilt the balance of decision making on government spending and allocating resources in their favor. This is also unjust and unfair in that other qualified individuals, who are also generally more qualified for positions are not considered because they do not have the same family and professional connections.
