0.329 is a rational number because the decimal stops. If it had continued on and on with no particular pattern, it would have been irrational. It can be a fraction too (329/1000)...

127.5 is a rational number because again the decimal ends. It can also be converted into a fraction which is another sign that it is rational (127 1/2)...

-89 is a rational number because negatives are rational numbers. It is also in the category of an integer, which means that is a rational number also...

The last one is a non-perfect square, which means no number squared could ever give you 101. When you solve for it, it is also a non-terminating decimal.

There are 14 tops you’d like to purchase, but you can only afford six. If you select tops at random, how many different groups o
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

3003 different groups of 6tops

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the combination formula, generally, when selecting r number of objects out of a pool of n numbers, this can be done in nCr number of ways.

nCr = n!/(n-r)!r!

If there are 14 tops I'd like to purchase and I can only afford six, the number of ways I can choose this six at random from the 14tops can be done in 14C6 number of ways.

14C6 = 14!/(14-6)!6!

14C6 = 14!/8!6!

14C6 = 14×13×12×11×10×9×8!/8!×6×5×4×3×2

14C6 = 14×13×12×11×10×9/6×5×4×3×2

14C6 = 14×13×12×11/8

14C6 = 3003ways

Write an equation for the line that passes through E(4, -3) and is parallel to the line
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

make y the subject first

Step-by-step explanation:

y=5/7(x) -27/7

parallel lines have equal gradient m1=m2

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-(-3)=5/7(x-4))

y=5/7(x) -20/7 -3

final answer

y=5/7(x) -41/7

Eddy remembers that the number of a student who liked vanilla was 1/5 of the number who liked almond
anzhelika [568]
I don't really understand this question. But I'll do my best to answer it.
So say that one student liked vanilla, and that student was 1/5 out of kids who liked almond. If that student was the only one out of five students that didn't like vanilla and liked almond, then four more students liked almond, and that one student was left out. So Eddy was right??????

Again, I don't understand what answer you want. Sorry. :/

Can you help with this I don’t know how to solve this.
Triss [41]

Answer:

arclength = 13.44 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given PS = 28 feet, which is the length of the diameter.

The formula for arc length is  2\pi r\frac{x}{360}, where x is the degrees.

So, we need to find the radius. We know that the radius is half of the diameter, so:

\frac{28}{2}=14 ft

We also need to find ∠TXS. Since we know the diameter is a line that crosses the center point of the circle, we also know that ∠PXT and ∠TXS add up to 180°. So:

∠PXT + ∠TXS = 180

125 + ∠TXS = 180

∠TXS = 180 - 125

∠TXS = 55°

Now, we can use the arc length formula:

arclength=2\pi r\frac{x}{360}

arclength=2\pi (14)\frac{55}{360}

arclength=13.43903524...

arclength = 13.44 ft

Check my work to make sure! Hope this helps!
