A 20° sector in a circle has an area of 684 yd^2.
Ira Lisetskai [31]
So this is like a pie chart or fractions
20 degreees is x% or x/whole parts
circle=360degrees
20/360=2/36=1/18

so the area represents 1/18 of the circle
684=1/18 of circle
multply both sdies by 18
12312=18/18 circle

the area of the circle=12312 yd^2

Please answer the question from the picture above

If the denominators are not the same, then you have to use equivalent fractions which do have a common denominator . To do this, you need to find the least common multiple (LCM) of the two denominators. To add fractions with unlike denominators, rename the fractions with a common denominator. Then add and simplify.

https://www.coolmath4kids.com/math-help/fractions/adding-and-subtracting-fractions-different-denominators

For example:
1/2 + 1/3

We need to find something called the least common denominator (LCD)... It's really just the LCM of our denominators, 2 and 3.

The LCM of 2 and 3 is 6. So, our LCD 6.

We need to make this our new denominator...

Change the 1/2:

1 x 3 over 2 x 3 = 3/6

Change the 1/3:

1/2 + 1/3 = 3/6 + 2/6

Now we can do it!

(3+2)/6 = 5/6

Only 5-8 It’s Probability
andrey2020 [161]
For starters, the probability of finding any of these colors is a 50/50 type of thing, or in this case, an equal quarter. So each would be 1/4, or 25%. Unless, of course, they're lying about having one or more colors of marbles in their possession. But I'm answering under the assumption that they're not.
