Answer:

Choice D

Explanation:

It has to be a male (XY) so we can eliminate B as an option

The trait is on the x chromosome so focus on that one

It is recessive so it would be indicated with a "d" NOT a "D"

That eliminates all the other choices so choice d is correct

What roles does progesterone play in the feedback mechanism?
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

Progesterone is one of the female sex hormones which performs important function during menstrual cycle, pregnancy and embryo development.

During follicular phase, it helps in the ovulation while during luteal phase it plays an important function of preparing the endometrium lining of the uterus. In addition, it also inhibits or decreases the production of FSH and LH during this phase with the help of negative feedback mechanism.

Progesterone gives negative feedback to hypothalamus and anterior pituitary which decreases or inhibits the secretion of FSH and LH. It is important as it prevents the ovulation of second egg prior to fertilization.

The parental phenotype is the mother's free earlobes (Ff) and the father's nonfree earlobes (ff).

<h3>What genotype and phenotype?</h3>

The genotype refers to the information present in an individual's genome. Unlike the phenotype, it is not observable and rarely changes. The phenotype, in turn, depends on a combination between our genotype and the environment and can be defined as the observable characteristics of an individual.

With this information, we can conclude that the parental phenotype is the mother's free earlobes (Ff) and the father's nonfree earlobes (ff).
