Yup it is because 2 qarts are equal to 1/2 or 0.5 gallons so you would have to multiply 430000 by 2 to get 860000

Estimate the perimeter of the figure to the nearest whole number.
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

The perimeter (to the nearest integer) is 9.

Step-by-step explanation:

The upper half of this figure is a triangle with height 3 and base 6.  If we divide this vertically we get two congruent triangles of height 3 and base 3.  Using the Pythagorean Theorem we find the length of the diagonal of one of these small triangles:  (diagonal)^2 = 3^2 + 3^2, or (diagonal)^2 = 2*3^2.

Therefore the diagonal length is (diagonal) = 3√2, and thus the total length of the uppermost two sides of this figure is 6√2.

The lower half of the figure has the shape of a trapezoid.  Its base is 4.  Both to the left and to the right of the vertical centerline of this trapezoid is a triangle of base 1 and height 3; we need to find the length of the diagonal of one such triangle.  Using the Pythagorean Theorem, we get

(diagonal)^2 = 1^2 + 3^2, or 1 + 9, or 10.  Thus, the length of each diagonal is √10, and so two diagonals comes to 2√10.

Then the perimeter consists of the sum 2√10 + 4 + 6√2.

which, when done on a calculator, comes to 9.48.  We must round this off to the nearest whole number, obtaining the final result 9.

Plz read and answerrrrrrrrrrr
natulia [17]

Answer:

16.7%.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are initially 24 + 15 + 8 = 47 pencils in the bag.

Take a pencil out of this bag of 47 pencils. 15 out of the 47 pencils blue. Let A represent the event of getting a blue pencil on the first pick. The probability of getting a blue pencil is:

\displaystyle P(A) = \frac{15}{47}.

There are now 47 - 1 = 46 pencils left in the bag. However, given that the first pencil removed from the bag is blue, the number of red pencils in the bag will still be 24. Take another pencil out of this bag of 46 pencils. Let B represent the event of getting a red pencil on the second pick. The possibility that the second pencil is red given that the first pencil is blue will be:

\displaystyle P(B|A) = \frac{24}{46}.

The question is asking for the possibility that the first pencil is blue and the second pencil is red. That is:

\displaystyle P(A\cap B) = P(A) \cdot P(B|A) = \frac{15}{47}\times \frac{24}{46} = 0.166512 \approx 16.7\%.

A plane ticket to Barcelona costs £175 the price decreases by 6% work out the new price of the plane ticket
ololo11 [35]
What I like to do to solve these is to divide the 175 by 100 because that's kind of what it relates to a percent... and then I multiply by 96. So in this problem:
175/100= 1.75
1.75 x 94 and then that equals your answer 164.50 euros is the new cost of the ticket.
Hope this Helps!
P.S a thanks or brainliest would mean a lot. :)
