<u>Answer:</u> The equilibrium constant for the reaction is 54.47

<u>Explanation:</u>

The equilibrium constant is defined as the ratio of the concentration of products to the concentration of reactants raised to the power of the stoichiometric coefficient of each. It is represented by the term K_{eq}

The given chemical equation follows:

H_2+I_2\rightleftharpoons 2HI

The expression for equilibrium constant will be:

K_{eq}=\frac{[HI]^2}{[H_2][I_2]}

We are given:

[HI]_{eq}=1.3544\times 10^{-2}M

[H_2]_{eq}=4.5647\times 10^{-3}M

[I_2]_{eq}=7.378\times 10^{-4}M

Putting values in above expression, we get:

K_{eq}=\frac{(1.3544\times 10^{-2})^2}{(4.5647\times 10^{-3})(7.378\times 10^{-4})}\\\\K_{eq}=54.47

Hence, the equilibrium constant for the reaction is 54.47

A sample of Ar gas occupies a volume of 1.2 L at 125 degrees * C and a pressure of 10 atm. Determine the temperature , in degree
vekshin1

Answer:

58.64

Explanation:  You want to use the combined gas law equation (P1*V1)/(n1*T1)=(P2*V2)/(n2*T2). So first cross out what remains constant, so pressure and I assume moles (since it was not mentioned as a change). You want to change the temperature to Kelvin (always) to do work, then you can solve algebraically for the answer! Once you have your answer change it to Celsius since that's what you were asked for.

Hope this helped!

In a chemical reaction, which are the MOST LIKELY products of these reactants? 4Fe + 3O2 ?
klemol [59]
I have the same question atm, but I'm pretty sure this is the answer.
I'm pretty sure we're combining these together to get a reactant, so if this is one of your answer choices chose 2Fe2O3, reason is when we add 4Fe + 3O2, we get the same answer, but in a different form.
