First you could switch the order of the numbers were the two fractions are that would  now be 1/4 + 4/3(-12)
when you add 1/4 + 4/3 you would get 1 7/12. then you would do 1 7/12 x -12. Multiplying is easy just go straight across. but since its whole and mixed number you would put a one under the -12.

1 7/12 x -12 is -19

Find the value of X.
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

x = 18.46

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the last angle of the triangle.

180-90-72 = 18

The cosine of an angle is equal to the ratio of the adjacent side to the hypotenuse.

cos(b) = adj/hyp

CosB=a/c rewrite to get

6/CosB (72)  = 19.41

Find the last side of the triangle using the Pythagorean theorem.

b=square root c^2 - a^2

b=square root 376.99 - 36

b= 18.46

Two studies were done on the same set of data, where study I was a one-sided test and study II was a two-sided test. The p-value
mixer [17]

Answer:

0.060

Step-by-step explanation:

In a two tailed test the probability of occurrence is the total area under the critical range of values on both the sides of the curve (negative side and positive side)

Thus, the probability values for a two tailed test as compared to a one tailed test is given by the under given relation -

p-value = P(Z< -\frac{\alpha }{2} )+P(Z >\frac{\alpha}{2})\

Here P\frac{\alpha}{2} = 0.030

Substituting the given value in above equation, we get -

probability values for a two tailed test

=0.030 + 0.030\\= 0.060
