Signing the declaration of independence is a stand against the mistreatment of the colonies and a chance to become independent and run the colonies the way you want. By signing the declaration of independence, you agree to revolting against Great Britain to start a new country, and putting yourself at risk for it. Even though you are putting yourself at risk for revolting against Great Britain, you would be leading the way for freedom of the colonies.
