1. This passage provides an inaccurate description of the legislative process used in Congress. Briefly explain which part of th

e passage is inaccurate and describe how you would fix the error. Then describe one element of the legislative process that has been left out of the passage.
When a bill has been introduced to the House of Representatives, its strengths and weaknesses are debated. During this process, supporters and opponents of the bill have an opportunity to influence their fellow representatives to support their positions. After the debate process, the bill is sent to a congressional committee, where committee members decide what to do with it. They can report it favorably and send it to the House for a vote, or kill it in a number of different ways. They can also make changes to the bill before presenting the final version. If the bill makes it out of committee, all members of the House get to vote on it. If a majority of representatives vote for the bill, it passes and is sent to the president to be signed.

After the members of the House of Representatives vote on a bill it is then sent to the Senate for their vote. If the bill passes both houses, it is then sent to the President for his signature to accept the legislation or his veto if he does not approve. Both houses can then overturn the veto by a two-thirds vote. The passage in error above is stating the House gets to send the bill to the President. The correction is that the Senate sends the bill to the President.

Describe two different ways that a pollen grain can get to the stigma of a pistil ?
larisa86 [58]
One of the ways is through the wind. The pollen then needs to be very light, and have a shape that supports being carried by the wind. It is then caught by the sticky surface of the stigma.

Another way is through animals, such as bees. The bees feed on the flowers and the pollen sticks to their legs. When they fly off to another flower, they will leave the trace of this pollen there. In fact many flowers attract bees for this reason, with their colour or smell.
