If the sum of the two smallest sides of a triangle are less than the third side, then the triangle cannot be constructed, since the sides would not be able to touch. However, since 35+120 is greater 125, this triangle can be formed

Surface area of cylinder is given by area of circle + area of the rectangle that curved around the cylinder

Area of the base of the cylinder = \pi r^{2} = 8^{2} \pi =64 \pi
