If the bases are the same, then u keep the same base and add the exponents

examples :
2^3 * 2^4 = 2^(3 + 4) = 2^7
3^3 * 3^3 = 3^(3 + 3) = 3^6

this does not apply if u have different bases
if u have different bases, u have to work them out..
examples :
2^2 * 3^2 = 4 * 9 = 36
3^3 * 2^2 = 27 * 4 = 108

You add the exponents and multiply the coefficient, so 8²*8² would be 64 with 4 being the exponent

If you make $450 a month but 15% is held out of each paycheck for Social Security and taxes how much do bring home?
aksik [14]

To solve this question make an equation

450 x 0.15 = X

0.15 = the percentage taken out of the paycheck

67.5 = Social Security Taxes

450 - 67.5

= $382.5

Or the easier way if you want it straight away

450 x 0.85 = $382.5

0.85 = percentage taken home

1 5/6 divided by 2 1/8 by writing it out to solve the problem. STEP BY STEP
Artist 52 [7]
1 5/6 divided by 2 1/8
1) you must change the mixed numbers into improper fractions
2) 1 5/6 is 11/6 and 2 1/8 is 17/8
3) then you must change the operation from division to multiplication
4) then you have to find the recipricol of 17/8 (flip it) and it will be 8/17
5) Finally, you multiply and you will get 88/102: 11/6x8/17=88/102 amd yoy can simplify if asked

Notasi ilmiah dari 0,898×10 pangkat 5
klemol [59]
Question translated into English:

Write in standard form: 0.898×10⁵

Answer:

Standard form is given by the form A×10ⁿ
Where A is a value in unit and 'n' is for all integers

0.898 is not in unit so we need to rewrite this as 8.98×10⁻¹

Write them together with the 10⁵, we have

8.98×10⁻¹×10⁵ = 8.98×10⁻¹⁺⁵ = 8.98×10⁴

∠A and \angle B∠B are complementary angles. If m\angle A=(x-21)^{\circ}∠A=(x−21) ∘ and m\angle B=(2x-15)^{\circ}∠B=(2x−15) ∘ , t
sasho [114]

Answer:

A = 21 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Here in this question, we are told to calculate the value of angle A.

When two angles are tagged complementary, what this means is that the addition of both angles gives a total of 90 degrees.

Hence;

A + B = 90

This means that;

(x-21) + (2x -15) = 90

x + 2x -21-15 = 90

3x -36 = 90

3x = 90+ 36

3x = 126

x = 126/3

x = 42

But we are told to calculate the measure of A

A = x -21

A = 42-21

A = 21 degrees
