Answer:

M_b = 2M_a

Explanation:

From gravity equation, we know that;

g = GM/R²

Where;

g is acceleration due to gravity

G is the gravitational constant

M is mass

Thus, making mass(M) the subject, we have;

M = gR²/G

Since we want to find the mass of B so that value of g on B is half that of its value on A.

Thus;

> g_b = ½g_a

> g_b/g_a = ½

Also, we are told that;

> R_a = ½R_b

> R_b/R_a = 2

If M_a = g_a•R_a²/G

And M_b = g_b•R_b²/G

Thus;

M_b/M_a = (g_b•R_b²/G)/(g_a•R_a²/G)

G will cancel out to give;

M_b/M_a = (g_b•R_b²)/(g_a•R_a²)

Rearranging for ease of simplification, we have;

M_b/M_a = (g_b/g_a) × (R_b/R_a)²

Plugging in the relevant ratios gives;

M_b/M_a = ½ × 2²

M_b/M_a = 2

M_b = 2M_a

An experimental tungsten light bulb filament has a length of 5 cm and a diameter of 0.074 cm. The filament is basically just a w
adell [148]

Answer:

power emitted is 1.75 W

Explanation:

given data

length l = 5 cm = 5 ×10^{-2} m

diameter d = 0.074 cm = 74 ×10^{-5} m

total filament emissivity = 0.300

temperature = 3068 K

to find out

power emitted

solution

we find first area that is π×d×L

area = π×d×L

area = π×74 ×10^{-5}×5 ×10^{-2}

area = 1162.3892  ×10^{-5} m²

so here power emitted  is express as

power emitted  = E × σ × area × (temperature)^4

put here all value

power emitted  = 0.300× 5.67 × 1162.3892  ×10^{-5}  × (3068)^4

power emitted = 1.75 W

How does an ice cube melt when you hold it in your hand?
dezoksy [38]
The heat from your hand causes the ice molecules to heat up and become more active. This lowers the stability of the ice cube compound causing it to melt.

As the shuttle bus comes to a sudden stop to avoid hitting a dog, it accelerates uniformly at -4.1 m/s2 as it slows from 9.0 m/s
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

The time interval of acceleration for the bus is 2.20 seconds

Explanation:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity

→ a=\frac{v-u}{t}

where a is the acceleration, v is the final velocity, u is the initial velocity

and t is the time

The given is:

The uniform acceleration = -4.1 m/s²

The bus slows from 9 m/s to 0 m/s

We need to find the time interval of acceleration for the bus

Lets use the rule above

→ a = -4.1 m/s² , v = 0 m/s , u = 9 m/s

→ -4.1=\frac{0-9}{t}

Multiply both sides by t

→ -4.1 t = -9

Divide both sides by -4.1

∴ t = 2.20 seconds

<em>The time interval of acceleration for the bus is 2.20 seconds</em>
