A) C(7) represents the cost of an Uber for 7 miles. Since 'm' is the cost for m miles, '7' is the cost for 7 miles.

B) If Todd's total bill was $30, that means the cost (C) is 30. Replace C with 30.

30 = 1.5m+4.5

Now solve this equation.

30-4.5 = 1.5m+4.5-4.5

25.5 = 1.5m

m = 17

If Todd's total bill was $30, his Uber ride was 17 miles.

A tank contains 1000 L of pure water. Brine that contains 0.05 kg of salt per liter of water enters the tank at a rate of 5 L/mi
Margaret [11]

Answer:

a) y(t)=0.65\frac{Kg}{min}(tmin)

b) y(40)=26Kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Brine a (Ba)

V_{Ba}=5\frac{Lt}{min}\\  Concentration(Bca)=0.05\frac{Kg}{Lt}

Brine b (Bb)

V_{Bb}=10\frac{Lt}{min}\\  Concentration(Bcb)=0.04\frac{Kg}{Lt}

we have that per every minute the amount of solution that enters the tank is the same as the one that leaves the tank (15 Lt / min)

, then the amount of salt (y) left in the tank after (t) minutes: y=V_{Ba}*B_{ca}+V_{Bb}*B_{cb}=5\frac{Lt}{min}*0.05\frac{Kg}{Lt}+10\frac{Lt}{min}*0.04\frac{Kg}{Lt}=\\0.25\frac{Kg}{min}+0.4\frac{Kg}{min}=0.65\frac{Kg}{min}

Finally:

a) y(t)=0.65\frac{Kg}{min}(tmin)

b) y(40)=0.65\frac{Kg}{min}(40min)=26Kg

being y(t) the amount of salt (y) per unit of time (t)

When dividing 250,000 by 100, the digits in the quotient move how many places to the right?
Zanzabum

When dividing 250,000 by 100, the digits in the quotient move by 2 places to the right.

<u>Step-by-Step explanation:</u>

Here we have , to find out that When dividing 250,000 by 100, the digits in the quotient move how many places to the right . Let's find out:

⇒  dividing 250,000 by 100

⇒  250,000 / 100

⇒  \frac{250000}{100}

⇒  \frac{2500(100)}{100}

⇒  2500

Initially we had 250,000 of 6 digits and now after dividing 250,000 by 100,  we have 2500 of 4 digits ! So , Number of places quotient shift to right is:

⇒ 6-4

⇒ 2

Therefore, When dividing 250,000 by 100, the digits in the quotient move by 2 places to the right.
