The answer is B!

In a function, the x input cannot be repeated.

In A, you see that 4 has an arrow pointing to 2 y inputs. That means that 4 is repeated and cannot be a function.

In C, 2 and 5 are both repeated x inputs, so they cannot be functions either.

In D, 0 and -1 both have arrows pointing to 2 y inputs. As stated before, if an arrow points to more than one number, it cannot be a function.

In B, all the arrows point to only ONE y input and none of the x inputs are repeated. Thus, the correct answer is B!

A car is travelling in the velocity of 20 m/ s . After 30 sec it covers a distance of 1200 m. Calculate the acceleration of car
Rudiy27

Answer:

given values are:

  • u=20 m/s
  • t= 30 s
  • s= 1200 m
  • v= ?
  • a=?
<h2>s = ut + 1/2 at²</h2>

1200 = 20×30 + 1/2 × 30²a

1200= 600 + 1/2 × 900a

600 = 450a

a = 600 / 450

a = 1.33 m/s²

<h2>v²= u² +2as</h2>

v² = 20² +2 × 1.33 × 1200

v²= 400 + 3192

v = √3592

v = 59.9 ≈ 60 m/s

I found this proof by induction that all people in canada are the same height, i was wondering what is the incorrect step?
frosja888 [35]

The incorrect step in the induction that all people in Canada are the same height is; Step 9

<h3>How to prove Mathematical Induction?</h3>

The principle of mathematical induction as follows:

For example, we have a set of natural numbers. Now, suppose that 1 is in the set. Now, we assume that anytime n is in the set, n + 1 is also in the set. Therefore we can say that every natural number is in the set.

The wrong step in the given mathematical Induction is Step 9. This is because;

We might not be to see anyone else in the arbitrary group G other than groups P or Q!

Recall that G is a group of k + 1 people. Thus, provided that k > 1, k + 1 > 2 and that a third person R in G does not exist, then the rest of the proof will work.

The steps above proves that;

S(k) = S(k + 1), for every k > 1.

Thus, we can also say that if S(2) is true, then it equally means S(3) is true and so on till infinity.

From our induction process written so far, we have see that S(1) was true. However, our induction step in the question does not show us that that S(1) = S(2) = true.

So: Thus, from the induction I have done It shows that S(1) not imply S(2) and as a result the proof is fallacious.

First You do length times width which would be 54 and then divide that by 3 and you would get your answer.

54÷(9×6)

Apply the distributive property to factor out the greatest common factor.
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

I take it that 24 is in front of j which means that the term is 24j.  There shouldn't be a comma there.

  • 24 = 8*3
  • 16 = 8*2

Both numbers have 8 in common, and that's all they have in common. The GCF is therefore, 8

24j - 16 = 8(3j - 2)    That's the answer.

Answer: 8 (3j - 2)
