Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Here is the complete question

Lakeisha spent $4.57 on color and black-and-white copies for her project. She made 7 more black-and-white copies than color copies. How much color did she make?

Key: color- $0.44 per page

black-and-white: 7 cents per page

Let the amount of color be x

Let the amount of black and white be y

If amount per page of color is $0.44, then x color will cost 0.44x

If amount per page of white and black cost $0.07, then y white and black will cost $0.07y

Since She made 7 more black-and-white copies than color copies, this means:

y = x+7.... 1

If the total spent on black and white is $4.57 then;

0.44x+0.07y = 4.57.... 2

Substitute 1 into 2

0.44x+0.07(x+7) = 4.57

0.44x + 0.07x+0.49 = 4.57

0.51x = 4.57-0.49

0.51x = 4.08

x = 4.08/0.51

x = 8

This means that I made 8 color copies

There were thirteen friends playing a video game online when six players quit.If each player left had eight lives how many lives
Lorico [155]
They had 56 lives in total

Explanation: if there were thirteen friends to begin with and six quit that would leave them with 7 friends. If those seven remaining friends each had 8 lives, you multiply those 7 friends by 8 lives which would get 56.

If all thirteen friends were still in the game then they would have 104 lives all together.

Find the distance between these points.<br> R(-1,0), S(8,6)<br> V(26)<br> V(85)<br> 3V(13)
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

The distance is equal to 3\sqrt{13}\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

the formula to calculate the distance between two points is equal to

d=\sqrt{(y2-y1)^{2}+(x2-x1)^{2}}

we have

R(-1,0)\\S(8,6)

substitute the values

d=\sqrt{(6-0)^{2}+(8+1)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{(6)^{2}+(9)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{36+81}

d=\sqrt{117}\ units

Simplify

d=3\sqrt{13}\ units
