Which sentence best shows the resolution of the passage? Jessica was in class, but she was bored and sleepy. Suddenly, she heard

a noise outside the classroom door. She heard it again and realized that she was the only one who could hear it. As she walked to the door, she realized something even more astonishing. No one in the classroom could see her. She had become invisible! Jessica nervously opened the door and stepped outside. To her horror, she found herself on a battlefield with thousands of men in red and blue coats fighting one another. Terrified, she turned back to the classroom door but couldn’t find it. Knowing that she was trapped in this strange war made her hands and feet go cold and her heart begin to pound. Out of nowhere, an unmanned horse began running toward her. Jessica tried to flee, but the horse was fast and caught up to her. She screamed as the horse’s hooves descended upon her. Then everything went dark. Jessica woke up to realize that she was still in her classroom and that she’d been dreaming all along. The dream had been about the American Civil War, which her teacher had been discussing in class. Jessica was extremely relieved to be safe in class. She would much rather learn about a war than be a part of one.

2. PART A: In the final line, what does the phrase "Singing
Ainat [17]

Answer:

It means that being an American is a source of pride and that is why people sing with their mouths open, that is, they sing loudly so that everyone can hear how proud they are.

Explanation:

Although you did not show in the question above, the line you present is part of the poem "I Hear America Singing" where we are introduced to the American working class and how they do their jobs happily while helping to build the country they love so much. The poem shows how important these workers are and reinforces how proud they are of their roles, as well as being extremely proud to be American, even going so far as to sing about it "with open mouths," which means that they sing loud enough so that everyone can hear well.

Do you think the U.S. education system adequately promotes equality? Why or why not?
Airida [17]
Regarding race, religion, creed, and gender, I believe that the education system leaves no hurdles for the formerly discouraged sects of society. However, school districts that encapsulate both high and low wealth areas do little to provide proper educational assistance and opportunity to children of all surrounding home lives. Hope this helped!
