Answer:

(-3,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

To help you with this problem remember this rule for a function.

ONLY 1 X VALUE corresponds with a y value.

For example look at this problem

{y}^{2}  = x

Let say y=4

{4}^{2}  = 16

but this also applies to if y=-4

{ - 4}^{2}  = 16

this means that we cant have a function where the same x value produces two different y values. So the answer is (-3,-4).

2,1 is wrong because in a function 2 produces -2 so it cant produces 1 also.

12,7 and -8,8 is wrong for the same reason above.

The endpoints of WX are W(2,-7) and X(5,-4). What is the length of WX?
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

<h2>WX = 3√2 units </h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the formula for calculating the distance between two points to calculate the length of WX.

D = √(y₂-y₁)²+(x₂-x₁)²

Given the endpoints W(2,-7) and X(5,-4), x₁ = 2, y₁ = -7, x₂ = 5 and y₂ = -4

Substituting this values into the formula to get the length of WX will give;

WX = √(-4-(-7))²+(5-2)²

WX = √(-4+7)²+3²

WX = √3²+3²

WX = √18

WX = √2*9

WX = 3√2 units

Hence the length of WX is 3√2 units.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If the radius of the circle is equal to

\sqrt{\frac{A}{3} } and the area is given as 45, then

r=\sqrt{\frac{45}{3} } which simplifies to

r=\sqrt{15} and to the nearest tenth,

r = 3.9
