Answer:

Both of them are approaches that can be used in analyzing social situations. But there is a specific characteristic that separate the two:

- Traditional approach

This approach only factor in 4 variables when analyzing social situations. Philosophical, historical, Empirical, and Legal factors. Typically, the data that can be obtained through traditional approach are more concrete. But, it can heavily biased toward a certain perspective.

- Behavioral approach

The Behavioral approach considered "Values" as an additional variable when analyzing social situations. Values are determined by the culture where the historical event taken place and determine people's action based on what considered as 'normal' during that time period.
