There are several ways to do this.
I'll show you two methods.
1) Pick two points on the line and use the slope formula.
Look for two points that are easy to read. It is best if the points are on grid line intersections. For example, you can see points (-4, -1) and (0, -2) are easy to read.
Now we use the slope formula.
slope = m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
Call one point (x1, y1), and call the other point (x2, y2).
Plug in the x1, x2, y1, y2 values in the formula and simplify the fraction.
Let's call point (-4, -1) point (x1, y1).
Then x1 = -4, and y1 = -1.
Let's call point (0, -2) point (x2, y2).
Then x2 = 0, and y2 = -2.
Plug in values into the formula:
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (-2 - (-1))/(0 - (-4)) = (-2 + 1)/(0 + 4) = -1/4
The slope is -1/4
2) Pick two points on the graph and use rise over run.
The slope is equal to the rise divided by the run.
Run is how much you go up or down.
Rise is how much you go right or left.
Pick two easy to read points.
We can use the same points we used above, (-4, -1) and (-0, -2).
Start at point (0, -2).
How far up or down do you need to go to get to point (-4, -1)?
Answer: 1 unit up, or +1.
The rise is +1.
Now that we went up 1, how far do you go left or right top go to point (-4, -1)?
Answer: 4 units to the left. Going left is negative, so the run is -4.
Slope = rise/run = +1/-4 = -1/4
As you can see we got the same slope using both methods.

Step-by-step explanation:
To find x use the sine ratio in the right triangle and the exact value
sin60° = , then
sin60° = = = ( cross- multiply )
x = 28 ( divide both sides by )
x = 28
-----------------------------------------------------------
To find y use the tangent ratio in the right triangle and the exact value
tan60° = , then
tan60° = = = ( multiply both sides by y )
14 = y ( divide both sides by )
y = 14
Answer:
S={WG, WE, WM, YG, YE, YM, BG, BE, BM}
Step-by-step explanation:
There are three possible color choices for the game room (White, Yellow or Blue), and three possible choices for the entertainment center (Gray, Ebony or Maple). This means that there are 9 possible outcomes, therefore, the sample space for the experiment is:
S={WG, WE, WM, YG, YE, YM, BG, BE, BM}
Problem 1
x = some unknown number
3x = three times a number
3x-7 = difference of three times a number and seven
2(3x-7) = two times the difference of three times a number and seven
2(3x-7) = x
The last equation is formed because the expression we built up is equal to the original number in question

Answer: 2(3x-7) = x

Problem 2
Use the distribution rule to get
3(2x+4)-2x
3*2x+3*4-2x
6x+12-2x
From here, we combine like terms. That means we combine the 6x and -2x to get 4x
So 6x+12-2x simplifies to 4x+12 and not 16x
How did she get 16x? Possibly because she mistakenly thought she could add 4x to 12 to get 16x. This only works if the 12 had x attached to it.
In other words, this is valid: 4x+12x = 16x but this is not 4x+12 = 16x

Problem 3
L = length = horizontal dimension = (d+15) ft
W = width = vertical dimension = (d-3) ft
P = perimeter of the rectangle = 108 ft
P = 2(L+W)
108 = 2(d+15+d-3)
108 = 2(2d+12)
108 = 4d+24
4d+24 = 108
4d = 108-24
4d = 84
d = 84/4
d = 21
The deep end is 21 feet long.
This means the overall horizontal length is d+15 = 21+15 = 36 feet and the the vertical width is d-3 = 21-3 = 18 feet
The overall dimensions of the rectangular pool are 36 ft by 18 ft

Answer: d = 21

4 days at the beach.*7 or 5* days of visiting museums.
*If you take away 4 from 14 you get 10 and halve it you get 5 but if you halve 14 you get 7*
