While hiking with a friend in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California, Lenny comes face-to-face with a young bear on the trail
natulia [17]

Answer:

alarm reaction

Explanation:

Selye's General adaptation syndrome is a three-stage process that talks about the physiological changes that our bodies undergo when we come face to face with a stressful event. The first of which is the alarm reaction, which describes the initial response immediately after the stress event. This is usually associated with the "Fight or Flight" reponse in which you either stand your ground or run away from a stressful or dangerous event. In this scenario his Lenny's alarm reaction kicked in and his brainstem initiates the release of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine, which increases his vigilance and fear.

What is the difference between casual observers and scientific observers?
babunello [35]
There are different types of observers. Casual observers differ from scientific observer. Seeing and observing are two different things. Not that everybody seeing is actually observing the thing.
A casual observer just sits back and watch for something to happen while a scientific observer comes up with some hypothesis to work on it.
