Write your own two equations that would have a solution of (3, 6).
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

y = 2x

y = 3x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

<u>y = 2x</u>

<u>6 = 2(3)</u>

<u>6 = 6</u>

<u>That's a solution</u>

<u>y = 3x - 3</u>

<u>6 = 3(3) - 3</u>

<u>6 = 9 - 3</u>

<u>6 = 6</u>

<u>That's a solution</u>

Hope this helps :)

How do you factor 125-x^3?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Step-by-step explanation:

We have

125 - x {}^{3}

First, 125 is a perfect cube because

5 \times 5 \times 5 = 125

and

x^3 is a perfect cube because

x \times  x \times x = x {}^{3}

so we can use the difference of cubes identity

( {x}^{3}  -  {y}^{3} ) = (x - y)( {x}^{2}  + xy +  {y}^{2} )

Let say we have two perfect cubes:

64 because 8×8×8=64

and 27 because 3×3×3=27 and let subtract

64 - 27

we know that

64 - 27 = 37

but using the difference of cubes identity we should get the same thing.

Remeber cube root of 64 is 4 and cube root of 27 is 3 so we have

(4 - 3)( {4}^{2}  + 4(3) + 3 {}^{2} )

1(16 + 12 + 9) = 1(37) = 37

So the difference of cubes works for real numbers. This is a good way to help remeber the identity using real numbers.

Back on to the topic,

we know that 5 is cube root of 125 and x is the cube root of x^3 so we have

(5 - x)( {5}^{2}  + 5x +  {x}^{2} ) =

(5 - x)(25 + 5x +  {x}^{2} )

Find the probability that a randomly selected point within the circle falls in the white area
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The white area is the area of the circle minus the area of the triangle.

Aw=pr^2-hb/2

Aw=p4^2-6.5(6)/2

Aw=16p-19.5

The probability of selecting the white area is the white area divided by the area of the circle

P(W)=(16p-19.5)/(16p), p=3.14

P(W)=0.61

An inhalation aerosol contains 225 mg of metaproterenol sulfate, which is sufficient for 300 inhalations. How many micrograms of
noname [10]

Answer:

Each inhalation has 750 micrograms of metaproterenol sulfate.

Step-by-step explanation:

First step: How many miligrams are there in each inhalation.This can be solved by a rule of three problem.

In a rule of three problem, the first step is identifying the measures and how they are related, if their relationship is direct of inverse.

When the relationship between the measures is direct, as the value of one measure increases, the value of the other measure is going to increase too.

When the relationship between the measures is inverse, as the value of one measure increases, the value of the other measure will decrease.

In this step, our measures are:

- The number of inhalations.

- The quantity inhaled.

As the number of inhalations increases, so does the quantity inhaled. This means that this is a direct rule of problem.

300 inhalations contains 225mg of metaproterenol sulfate. How many miligrams are in a inhalation?

300 inhalations - 225mg

1 inhalation - xmg

300x = 225

x = \frac{225}{300}

x = 0.75mg

Each inhalation has 0.75mg of metaproterenol sulfate.

Final step: Conversion of 0.75mg to micrograms.

Each mg has 1000 micrograms. So:

1mg - 1000 micrograms

0.75mg - x micrograms

x = 1000*0.75

x = 750 micrograms

Each inhalation has 750 micrograms of metaproterenol sulfate.

Was this a fair test? is it representative of the effectiveness of the test substance
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
<span>No. The test is not a fair test. The test is artificial. Testing the disinfectant against bacteria in a test tube is not representative of the effectiveness of the disinfectant against microbes in the environment. Test tube tests test for efficacy. Effectiveness can only be tested out in the environment.</span>
