What is solution to the system of equations? Y=5×+2 3×=-y+10
Sergio [31]
Y = 5x + 2
3x = y + 10

3x = y + 10
3x = 5x + 2 + 10
3x = 5x + 12
3x - 5x = 12
-2x = 12
x = -6

substitute x = -6 into y = 5x + 2

y = 5(-6) + 2
y = -30 + 2
y = -28

x = -6, y = -28

hope this helped, God bless!

What are the exact solutions of x^2 = 5x + 2?
aleksandrvk [35]
Move everybody to one side
minus 5x+2 both sides
x^2-5x-2=0
use quadratic formula where
if you have
ax^2+bx+c=0
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac} }{2a}

1x^2-5x-2=0
a=1
b=-5
c=-2

x=\frac{-(-5)+/- \sqrt{(-5)^{2}-4(1)(-2)} }{2(1)}
x=\frac{5+/- \sqrt{25+8} }{2}
x=\frac{5+/- \sqrt{33} }{2}

aprox
x=5.372281323 or -0.3722813233

West and Company uses the LIFO method to calculate inventory values. Their beginning inventory consisted of 200 units at a cost
nirvana33 [79]
The total inventory is 200 + 300 + 400 + 100 = 1000. If 300 units remained, the we calculate the cost of the 700 sold via LIFO. These 700 units include the 100 units at $12.00, the 400 units at $11.00, and 200 units at $10.00 (out of the 300 purchased). This is a total cost of 100*12 + 400*11 + 200*10 = 1200 + 4400 + 2000 = $7600.
