Calculate 3(2 1/5 miles) + 1(1.5 miles)    (I don't think you really meant "11.5 miles).

6 3/5 + 1.5 = 6.6 + 1.5 = 8.1 miles.

Looking again at your post, I'm wondering whether your "1 1.5 miles" was supposed to mean "1 1/5 miles."

If so, the correct answer is different from the first one:

3(2 1/5 miles) + 1(1 1/5 miles) = 6 3/5 miles + 1 1/5 miles = 7 4/5 miles.

Using the digits 0 to 9 at most one time each,fill in the boxes below to write equations whose solution is -1/2
Lena [83]

Answer:

The equations whose solutions are -1/2 are:

1. 4x + 1 = 6x + 2

2. 3x + 7 = 5x + 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the digits 0 to 9 at most one time each, the equations whose solutions are -1/2 are:

1. 4x + 1 = 6x + 2

-2x = 1

x = -1/2

2. 3x + 7 = 5x + 8

-2x = 1

x = -1/2

A line passes through the point (-1,-5) and has a slope of -5.
Anna71 [15]
<h3>hello!</h3>

We're given a point that the line intersects and its slope.

Let's use Point-slope:-

\boxed{y-y1=m(x-x1)}

y1 = -5

m=-5

x1=-1

\boxed{y-(-5)=-5(x-(-1)}

\boxed{y+5=-5(x+1)}

Convert to slope-intercept:-

\boxed{y+5=-5x-5}

\boxed{y=-5x-5-5}

Finally,

\bigstar{\boxed{\pmb{y=-5x-10}}

<h3>note:-</h3>

Hope everything is clear; if you need any clarification/explanation, kindly let me know, and I will comment and/or edit my answer :)
