Sociology is the social science that studies human society and social behavior. Sociologist study human behavior in groups, and also study the many different norms and values which are present in an individual and in society.

Sociology is a scientific tool which help us to better understand ourselves and the world we live in. It also shows humans how this world is a reflection of all of us.

Sociologist are always trying to make us see that there is a connection between the individual and the group, and that understanding this connection  gives us a better sense of who we are, and what is the purpose of our existence.

Sociology can have differences and similarities when compare to other social sciences. It is similar because studies interactions between society and culture. It is different because is principally concerned with social interactions of groups instead of individuals.

The Piaget's stages of development are:

  • The sensorimotor stage (0 - 2 years)
  • The preoperational stage (2–7 years)
  • The concrete operational stage (7–11 years)
