2: A Republic is a State in which the supreme power is held by their people and elected representatives. In a Republic, it usually has a elected person (Like Augustus)

3: The Ides of March is the 74th day on the Roman Calendar. On the day, Julius Caesar is stabbed to death in the Roman Senate

4: After Julius Caesar died, Augustus Caesar came into power. He reign lasted until the End of the Republic, and into the Empire. Augustus Caesar was just a lot kinder to the Senate Floor in Rome, and he definitely had a lot better and more positive qualities then Julius.

5: Some of the Important building built in the Roman Empire that are still standing today include: The Pantheon, The Colosseum, and The Roman Forms.

6: The Romans were mainly // greatly a Polytheistic Empire. Polytheistic means that the population believes in multiple gods, and in a Monotheistic Empire, Most of the population believe in one singular God or goddess.

7: Christianity spread rapidly throughout the Roman Empire by Jesus' Followers. Especially Paul and Peter came to Rome, and spread Jesus' Ideas, and it spread Rapidly.

This became increasingly important throughout the war, as the naval blockade executed by the Union, prevented the southern states to get sources easily.
