For a better understanding of the explanation provided here please go through the diagram in the file which has been attached.

As we can see in the diagram there are four corners namely, A,B,C and D and each corner has four columns as depicted by the four vertical lines in the diagram.

Now, we have been told that the decorating committee will hang one large streamer from each column to every other column. Therefore, a streamer each will go from, say, the column at A to the columns at B,C and D. These streamers are, P,T and S, respectively.

Thus, if we have a nice look at the diagram we can see that the total number of streamers needed will be 6.

Marcus, Shaun, and Tristan each invested into new business. They invested 1 point
Schach [20]

Shaun invested $176,250 into the new business.

Marcus invested half of the $940,000 so the amount that Shaun and Tristan invested is:

= 940,000 / 2

= $470,000

Shaun and Tristan invested in the ratio 3:5.

The amount that Shaun invested is:

= (Ratio of Shaun / Sum of the ratios) x Amount both invested

= (3 / (3 + 5 )) x 470,000

= 3/8 x 470,000

= $176,250

In conclusion, Shaun must have invested $176,250 into the business.

The two best deals would be buy two get two free and the 1/2 off because both would equal 50% off the total price of buying 4 wheels.

This is better than the alternative of only 45% off.

Subtract 6 1/4 - 3 5/8 what is it ???
Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

21/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplify the following:

6 + 1/4 - (3 + 5/8)

Put 3 + 5/8 over the common denominator 8. 3 + 5/8 = (8×3)/8 + 5/8:

6 + 1/4 - (8×3)/8 + 5/8

8×3 = 24:

6 + 1/4 - (24/8 + 5/8)

24/8 + 5/8 = (24 + 5)/8:

6 + 1/4 - (24 + 5)/8

24 + 5 = 29:

6 + 1/4 - 29/8

Put 6 + 1/4 - 29/8 over the common denominator 8. 6 + 1/4 - 29/8 = (8×6)/8 + 2/8 - 29/8:

(8×6)/8 + 2/8 - 29/8

8×6 = 48:

48/8 + 2/8 - 29/8

48/8 + 2/8 - 29/8 = (48 + 2 - 29)/8:

(48 + 2 - 29)/8

| 1 |

| 4 | 8

+ | | 2

| 5 | 0:

(50 - 29)/8

| 4 | 10

| 5 | 0
