Answer:

I would be horrible. I don't know how else someone would feel if their friend had betrayed them. I would feel as if I wasn't good enough for them to keep a trustable bond. I was so worthless they didn't care if they betrayed me or not.

If the friend did it our of concern for my wellbeing then I'd be angry. Why couldn't they tell me before they betrayed me? It would not have caused as much pain. They should've communicated with me and explained to me their opinions and thoughts before going ahead and betraying me. I'd only understand if maybe I was being physically hurt.

Never. Unless someone is being hurt. Or if it includes a child. Other than that it's just cruel. They don't deserve the title of being a friend if they do anything behind their friends back. Even if it's a good intentioned back stab.

I remember well the remark made to me once by one of my teachers—and a very good teacher, too, who nevertheless did not see what

Answer:

Its E Strengthen an assertion by broadening its implications 100%

Explanation:

In these lines, the author uses repetition to organize two assertions about the “things” that children are taught. She first asserts that these “things” have so little relevance that children will quickly forget them. She then broadens this assertion to apply to teachers, stating that they too would forget these “things” if they were not constantly repeating them on the job. By arranging these ideas in this way, the author strengthens her initial assertion about the reason that children have trouble remembering and supports her overarching claim that it is “reasonable” for children to protest that they cannot retain what they are expected to learn.

To interpret Montressor and Fortunato's descent into the Montressor catacombs as descending into hell, the writer adopts the critical approach called Formalism (Option D).

  • Formalism criticism provides the reader with a method via which they can understand a text, writ, or story by the use of narrative forms that are conversational in nature. Essentially, it is a way of looking at things.

  • This school of thought posits that in formalism, only formal elements or traits are the only things that hold value about literature.

The formal elements of a literary work are:

  1. the rhythm of the sentences
  2. the meaning of the entire text
  3. meaning of words
  4. Harmony of words
  5. rhyming of the words
  6. structure/shape of the text

See the link below for more about formalism:
