Hello there! The answer would be:13

Remember ⬇️

Positive & positive = positive

Negative & positive = negative

Positive & negative = negative

Negative & negative = positive

For problems like this, you can use a number line! =)

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Hi there!

Here is what the rules says

+ * + = +  (Plus times plus = plus)
+*- = - (Plus times minus = minus)
- * - = + (Minus times minus = Plus
- * + = -  (minus times plus = minus)

You need to know the rules by heart because you will use it a lot.

So let see how it works with the problem

6 -(-7)
What does the rules say? It says
- * - = plus
So, we gonna use PLUS for the sign
6-(-7) = 6 + 7 = 13

13 is the correct answer.

I hope I helped. Please let me know if you have more questions.

What is the volume olf the basketball the diameter is 9.5 round to mearest whole nu!mber<br>
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

143π in³

Step-by-step explanation:

A basketball has the shape of a sphere

Volume of a basketball = 4/3πr³

Diameter = 9.5 in

Radius = diameter/2

= 9.5/2

= 4.75 in

Volume of a basketball = 4/3πr³

= 4/3 * π * 4.75³

= 4/3 * π * 107.17

= (4*π*107.17) / 3

= 428.68π / 3

= 142.89π in³

Approximately

143π in³ to the nearest whole number

How to solve this showing all work ! Also explain why they aren’t polynomials if you can :)
Lesechka [4]

Polynomials are linear combinations of positive integer powers. For example,

x^{100}+30x^2-\sqrt 2\,x+21

is a polynomial, but

-x^{-1}-4x^\pi+x^{3/2}

is not.

(In case you're unfamiliar with the term, a linear combination of two quantities is the sum of scaled versions of those quantities, e.g. a general linear combination of a and b is k_1a+k_2b, where k_1,k_2 are any numbers.)

8x^2-18\sqrt x+5x-3 is not a polynomial; the offending term is -18\sqrt x, or -18x^{1/2}.

sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

  5

Step-by-step explanation:

Put the numbers where the corresponding variables are in the formula and do the arithmetic.

  0.3y+\dfrac{y}{z}=0.3\cdot 10+\dfrac{10}{5}=3+2=5

The expression evaluates to 5.
