This sign ≤ means greater than or equal to

but, this sign < means the number which is in the side is only greater

My this answer might be wrong , because in b ≤ 45 , I am confused from where the letter " b " came

Name a pair of corresponding angles
Gnoma [55]
<h3>Corresponding angles = angle 1 and angle 5</h3>

They are on the same side of the transversal cut (both to the left of the transversal) and they are both above the two black lines. It might help to make those two black lines to be parallel, though this is optional.

Other pairs of corresponding angles could be:

  • angle 2 and angle 6
  • angle 3 and angle 7
  • angle 4 and angle 8

=======================================================

<h3>Alternate interior angles = angle 3 and angle 5</h3>

They are between the black lines, so they are interior angles. They are on alternate sides of the blue transversal, making them alternate interior angles.

The other pair of alternate interior angles is angle 4 and angle 6.

=======================================================

<h3>Alternate exterior angles = angle 1 and angle 7</h3>

Similar to alternate interior angles, but now we're outside the black lines. The other pair of alternate exterior angles is angle 2 and angle 8

=======================================================

<h3>Same-side interior angles = angle 3 and angle 6</h3>

The other pair of same-side interior angles is angle 4 and angle 5. They are interior angles, and they are on the same side of the transversal.

Which equation represents the line with a slope of 5/6 that passes through the point (-2, 1)?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope m = 5/6

The points (-2,1)

So; y1 = 1 and x1 = -2

The equation is y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 1 = 5/6(x + 2)

Multiply each term by 6

6y - 6 = 5(x + 2)

6y - 6 = 5x + 10

6y = 5x + 10 + 6

6y = 5x + 16

- 5x + 6y = 16

Multiplying by minus

5x - 6y = -16

Solve the exponential equations: 2^3x =11
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

2 + 3x = 11

3x = 11 - 2

3x = 9 (divide both sides by 3 to get x)

3x/3 = 9/3

x = 3

A farmer raises cows and chickens. The farmer has a total of 25 animals. One day he counts the legs of all of his animals and co
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 25 ...........................(1)

{4x + 2y  =64} / 2    divide the equation by 2

2x + y = 32 ........................(3)

Step Two

subtract (1) from (3)

2x + y = 32

x   + y = 25

x = 7

Therefore from equation 1 we get x + y =  25

but x = 7

7 + y = 25       Subtract 7 from both sides.

y = 25 - 7

y = 18

Check

4*x + 2*y =  64

4*7 + 2*18 =? 64

28 + 36 = ? 64

64 = 64

The checks out to be the right answer.
