The slope of the line that passes through the point 2,4 and 3,8 is_____
AnnZ [28]

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{2}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{4})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{3}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{8}) \\\\\\ slope = m\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{8-4}{3-2}\implies \cfrac{4}{1}\implies 4

The square of the sum of two consecutive positive even integers is 4048 more than the sum of the squares of these two numbers. F
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The numbers are 44 and 46

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x, x+2 ----> the two consecutive positive even integers

we know that

(x+x+2)^{2} =4,048+x^{2} +(x+2)^{2} \\ \\(2x+2)^{2} =4,048+x^{2} +x^{2}+4x+4\\ \\4x^{2}+8x+4=2x^{2}+4x+4,052\\ \\2x^{2} +4x-4,048=0

Solve the quadratic equation using a graphing calculator

The solution is x=44

see the attached figure

x+2=44+2=46

therefore

The numbers are 44 and 46

I can't figure this one out....Find ALL polar coordinates of point P = (6, 31°). The explanations I've found thus far don't seem
arsen [322]

Check the picture below.

so, as I see it, we can simply move from the point P, 360° counter-clockwise, the green one, and we'll be landing on a positive angle on the 1st Quadrant, the angle of 360° + 30° = 390°.

we can also move 360° clockwise, the red one, from P, so we'll be landing at -360° + 30 = -330°, also on the 1st Quadrant, but a negative counterpart.

now, if we move by jumps of 360° on either direction, we'll be landing coterminal with P all the time, so if we use simply multiply 360° by "n", some integer, then that angle added or subtracted from 30°, will be coterminal with P.

( 6 ,  30°±360n°)   where n ∈ ℤ.

Jennifer is saving money to buy a bike. The bike costs $230. She has $125 saved, and each week she adds
Olegator [25]

Step-by-step explanation:

230 - 125 = 105

If she saves 15 every week

Then

105 ÷ 15 = 7 weeks

It will take her 7 weeks
