The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

What is FDR’s expectation of how the war will end? What specific examples of his language indicate his beliefs about who will be victorious?

As the leader of the United States during World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt showed confidence that with the inclusion of the US Army in the war, the victory was a matter of time.

In the attached excerpt we can read that he thought that he expected victory for the allies and punish the enemy.

When we read "It is not the intention of this government...to resort to mass reprisals. It is our intention that just and sure punishment shall be meted out to the ringleaders responsible for the organized murder of thousands..."

Let's remember that President Roosevelt died before the end of World War. Harry S. Truman was the United States President that had to make the toughest decision to launch the atomic bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II.

When the abbasid caliphs tried to secure their position by creating an army of turkish warriors, what was the ultimate result?
Elena L [17]
The creation of the an army of Turkish warriors to help the Abbasid Caliphs secure their position ultimately led to the conversion of the Turks to Islam, and eventually giving them control over Sunni Islam.

The Abbasid Caliphs were leaders of the "Abbasid Dynasty," which is 2nd of the two great Sunni (Islam) dynasties. Meanwhile, the Seljuk Turks were nomadic people who converted to Islam. Because they were often used as military mercenaries by the Abbasid Caliphate, their power grew, eventually weakening the power of the caliphs, and giving them "control over" Sunni Islam. They revitalized Islamic laws, reorganized the institutions, and provided political stability to the empire.

what two lessons did terrorist throughout the world learn from the attack on the Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics
Irina18 [472]

Munich massacre, Palestinian terrorist attack on Israeli Olympic team members at the 1972 Summer Games in Munich.

The Munich Games marked the first return of the Olympics to a German city since the 1936 Games in Berlin. Adolf Hitler’s use of those Games as a platform for the propagation of Nazi ideology was roundly criticized, as was the blatant racism and anti-Semitism that characterized the Games. The West German invitation had been extended, in part at least, to offer the world a contrast to the horrifying spectacle of Berlin.
