1. To find the sales tax rate you can set up the equation:

1200x = 72; divide both sides by 1200
x = 0.06

The tax rate is 6%.

2. 6% of 2500
0.06 x 2500 = $150

For Part A, the answer is d.

3. 6% of x is $108
0.06x = 108; divide both sides by 0.06

x = 1800

The answer for Part B is letter d.

A Square has the vertices at (-2,6) (6,1) (1,-7) (-7,-2). At what point do the diagonals of the square intercect
DerKrebs [107]

Answer: At point (-\frac{1}{2},-\frac{1}{2})

Step-by-step explanation: <u>Diagonal</u> is a line uniting two opposite points. In a square, the diagonals intersect in a 90° and bisect each other, i.e., divides each diagonal into two segments of the same length.

In other words, the diagonals of a square meet at their midpoint, which is found as the following:

(x,y) = (\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2} ,\frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2})

The opposite vertices of the given square are (-2,6) and (1,-7).

So, the intersection is

(x,y) = (\frac{-2+1}{2} ,\frac{6-7}{2})

(x,y) = (-\frac{1}{2},-\frac{1}{2} )

The diagonals of square with vertices (-2,6)(6,1)(1,-7)(-7,-2) intersect at point (-\frac{1}{2},-\frac{1}{2} ).

25 pts. : Directions: Complete this review of lessons 3-1 &amp; 3-2. There are 25 questions in total.
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

600 x 60 = 36,000

50 x 50 = 2,500

1,000 x 3 = 3,000

70 x 80 = 5,600

100 x 300 = 30,000

20 x 40 = 800

90 x 90 = 8,100

9 x 900 = 8,100

500 x 300 = 150,000

1,000 x 5 = 5,000

125 - 100

770 - 800

364 - 400

923 - 900

755 - 800

Which polynomial is a perfect square trinomial? (4 points) 9x2 − 12x + 4 36b2 − 24b + 16 16x2 − 24x − 9 4a2 − 10a − 25
loris [4]
I believe it's 9x2-12x+4 but I'm not quite sure cause we haven't yet gone over this in class.

My friend also believes it is this (she's in a higher level math grade than me). I'm so sorry this isn't more helpful.
