Burke insists that the historical foundations of france were fundamentally sound, and thus the revolution of 1789 was unnecessar
Aliun [14]
If your options are: a) The competing interests of the people were institutionalized in the Estates General, generating a "reciprocal struggle" that would reconcile discordant powers, b) The monarchy, though occasionally unjust, provided stability and security, c) The "discordant interests" of the various corporate bodies of France— the guilds, municipalities, nobility, and
clergy— were mediated by the monarch and his officials, and d) All of the above, the correct answer in my opinion is d) All of the above. Burke provides a comprehensive critique of the French revolution in all of its aspects. Even though he admits it was a remarkable event, he disagrees that it would bring about a new, more just and sound political system. Of course, the old monarchy was bad in many respects, but it didn't have to be abolished altogether. It could be fixed. Instead, monarchy was replaced by anarchy and traditions were violently dismantled.

How did architects create elements in the dome of Hagia Sophia(in Istanbul)that float higher than any previous dome?
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

Hagia Sophia is a religious building in Istanbul, Turkey.

Explanation:

“Hagia Sophia” is known for its amazing architecture means, “holy wisdom”. It is famous for the huge dome and relics of nails of ‘Jesus’ and ‘Shroud’ of Mary.

Initially, the weight of the dome was an issue as a series of earthquakes caused the dome to collapse. But then it was reconstructed. Architects had re-build the entire interior walls to make it stronger and robust to back the dome’s weight.

“Pendentives” (in form of spherical triangles) were used as a structural transition between the base which was of square shape and the dome which was of round shape. This way the load was transferred to the base walls and the ground.

The "pendentives" made it feasible to position the dome placed upon a square compartment.

The Watergate scandal was a major political scandal that occurred in the United States during the early 1970s. It resulted in the resignation of President Nixon as it painted the presidency in bad light. It occurred as a result of a break-in by five men at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. on June 17, 1972, and President Nixon's administration's ensuing attempt to cover up its involvement.
