Think about it, A plant takes energy from the sun and then a worm eats it soon after a bird eats that worm then when the bird dies its body is fed to fungi or back to plant life. Pretty much the sun is our biggest source of energy

Also The sun is our major source of heat without the sun we would freeze and perish.
