Lake Corporation reported the following amounts in its income statement: Sales revenue $ 440,000 Advertising expense 60,000 Inte
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

Lake's operating income is $120000

Explanation:

Operating income is the income generated by the operations of company less its operating cost. Another name that is used for operating income is Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT). The charges or income relating to non operating or financing activities is not included in the operating income and nor is the tax deduction included.

The formula for operating income = Sales - Cost of Sales - operating expenses.

The operating expenses here, are = Advertising + Salaries + Utilities

Thus, operating expenses = 60000 + 55000 + 25000 = $140000

The Operating Income = 440000 - 180000 - 140000 = $120000

According to John Kotter, which of the following actions will adversely influence refreezing efforts?A) the absence of a visionB
dedylja [7]

Answer:

D) declaring victory too soon

Explanation:

John Kotter in this theory of leadership explains the concept and importance of change. He basically believes that the company shall be currently functional.

By the term currently functional he means that the company shall be updated and working on with the current market trend. This means the company shall not be resistant to change and that the management shall take a note of it.

Further in the moving scenario there is no freezing point - the company shall constantly work on the new things which it can improve and excel.

Thus, final confirmation cannot be made soon as towards the change made.

You are the CEO of a company that has to choose between making a $100 million investment in either Russia or Poland. Both invest
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer: When assessing the risks of investment, one should consider the political, economic, and legal risks of doing business in either Russia or Poland. The risk in Russia would probably be considered higher than the risk in Poland since Poland has been a member state of the European Union since 1 May 2004, with the Treaty of Accession 2003 signed on 16 April 2003 in Athens as the legal basis for Poland's accession to the EU.

Poland has already gained benefits and stability offered by the EU. Russia, by contrast, is still many years away from even being in a position to be considered by the EU for membership.

Explanation: A diligent investor wouldn't put a penny in a risky country.

Use this image to answer the following question. The ice cream shop needs about two pounds of cocoa for each gallon of chocolate
navik [9.2K]
I think this is a trick question. Say, there are 2 pounds of cocoa / 1 gallon of chocolate ice cream. But then the problem only mentions the production of eight gallons of strawberry ice cream, not chocolate ice cream.

However, if they're somehow related (like they are made from the same machine), then you need 16 pounds of cocoa to produce 8 gallons of chocolate ice cream.
