Six friends create a website. The website earns money by selling banner ads. The site has 5 banner ads. It costs $120 a month to

operate the website.
a. A banner ad earns $0.005 per click. Write a linear equation that represents the monthly income y (in dollars) for x clicks.

The linear equation y=
represents the monthly income y (in dollars) for x clicks.

b. Graph the equation in part (a). Then use your graph to find the number of clicks needed for the friends to start making a profit.

Answer:

A.) y = 0.005x - 120

B.) You need more than 24,000 clicks to make a profit, or at least 24001 clicks.

Step-by-step explanation:

A.)

1. We know that the amount of money for each click is $0.005, which means that that's the amount of money you need to multiply by the number of clicks (or x) to find the amount of money you're making from the ads.

2. We also know that the cost to keep the website up is 120$, which is a loss of 120 dollars. To find the total profit in a month, you have to subtract whatever the profit from ads was by 120.

3. Since the amount from ads is 0.005 * x minus the cost of the website to be up, 120, the equation for the profit (or y) would be y = 0.005x-120

B.)

Next up is graphing it:

Geometry Way:

1. You can use any online graphing program, or hand graph it (I'll link one that I use in the comments--- Desmos).

2. Graph the equation.

3. Find the value in which that the profit would be 0. Anything more than that would be all of the values in which y is not 0 or negative.

Algebra Way:

1. Plug in 0 for y, or the profit.

2. Simplify. You'll find that when the profit is 0, the amount of clicks would be 24,000. Anything more than that would be positive.

Hope this helped!

Andrews [41]

Answer: Fourth option is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Timothy scored 83 out of 100.

His percentile rank in his class = 72

Clayton scored 85 out of 100.

His percentile rank in his class = 70.

Since Clayton's percentile rank is lower than Timothy's rank.

So, Timothy performed better with respect to the rest of the students in the class.

Hence, Timothy as his percentile score is higher.

Therefore, Fourth option is correct.

These angles are adjacent which means they share a side and a vertex. Adjacent angles are also supplementary so the measure of the two angles add up to 180 degrees. Since angle 1 is 137 degrees, angle two is 43 degrees. I hope this explanation helps you.

PLEASE HELP!! Question is below
maria [59]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Complementary means that the angles have a sum of 90° so we can write:

m∠A + m∠B = 90° → 3x + 2 + 8x = 90

11x + 2 = 90

11x = 88

x = 8 which means that m∠B = 8x = 8 * 8 = 64°.

Supplementary means that the angles have a sum of 180° so m∠C = 180° - m∠B = 180° - 64° = 116°.
