Answer:

Number of dimes = 28

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Worth of coins = $6.30 = 6.30 * 100 = 630 cents

Let,

x be the number of dimes

y be the number of quarters

According to given statement;

x = 2y    Eqn 1

10x+25y = 630    Eqn 2

Putting x = 2y in Eqn 2

10(2y) + 25y = 630

20y + 25y = 630

45y = 630

Dividing both sides by 45

\frac{45y}{45}=\frac{630}{45}\\y=14

Putting y=14 in Eqn 1

x = 2(14)

x = 28

Hence,

Number of dimes = 28

In the above figure (not drawn to scale), Find ∠AEC.

Answer:

C. 75°

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a circle and we are asked to find the measure of angle AEC.

We will use Intersecting chords theorem to find the measure of angle AEC, which states that measure of angle formed inside a circle by two intersecting chords is one half the sum of the measure of the arcs intercepted by the angle and its vertical angle.

We can see that measure of arc AC is 110 degrees and measure of its vertical arc BD is 40 degrees.

m\angle AEC=\frac{110^o+40^o}{2}

m\angle AEC=\frac{150^o}{2}

m\angle AEC=75^o

Therefore, measure of angle AEC is 75 degrees and option C is the correct choice.

To determine the correct ordered pairs which will agree with the function, we can substitute values to the function and see whether it agree with each other. We do as follows:

<span>(0,1)
</span><span> f(x)=128(0.5)^0
</span><span> f(x)=128
</span><span>
(1,64)
</span><span> f(x)=128(0.5)^1
</span>f(x) = 64  <--------CORRECT ANSWER<span>

(3,16)
</span><span> f(x)=128(0.5)^3
f(x) = 16 <--------CORRECT ANSWER
</span><span>
(8,0.5)
</span><span> f(x)=128(0.5)^8
f(x) = 1/2

Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.</span>
