A deli sells 2 hot dogs for $2.50. What is the constant of proportionality of dollars per hot dog?

Mathematics

Answer:

$1.25 per hot dog

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

A deli sells 2 hot dogs for $2.50

i.e.

Cost of 2 hot dogs = $2.50

And we need to find the constant of proportionality of dollars per hot dog, for which we'll use unitary method.

So,

Cost of 1 hot dog is given by

2.50/2=$1.25

So, Cost of per hot dog is $1.25.

Hope this helps :)

X + y = 16<br> 5x - 4y = 12
Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

x = 8.44, y = 7.56

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 16 (equation 1)

5x - 4y = 12 (equation 2)

(x + y = 16)× 5

(5x - 4y = 12) × 1

9y/9 = 68/9

y = 7.56

Substitute the value of x in equation 1

x + 7.56 = 16

x = 16 - 7.56

x = 8.44

Therefore, x = 8.44, y = 7.56

Workers at a certain soda drink factory collected data on the volumes (in ounces) of a simple random sample of 17 cans of the so
LiRa [457]

Answer:

a)Null Hypothesis: \sigma^2 \geq 0.0196

Alternative hypothesis: \sigma^2

b) \chi^2 =\frac{17-1}{0.0196} 0.0121 =9.878

c) p_v =P(\chi^2

d)  If we compare the p value we see that is higher than the significance level so then we have enough evidence to FAIL to reject the null hypothesis and we can't say that the true deviation is significantly lower than 0.14

Step-by-step explanation:

Data given

n=17 represent the sample size

\alpha=0.01 represent the confidence level

s^2 =0.11^2 = 0.0121 represent the sample variance obtained

\sigma^2_0 =0.14^2 = 0.0196 represent the value that we want to test

Part a System of hypothesis

On this case we want to check if the population deviation is lower than 0.14, so the system of hypothesis would be:

Null Hypothesis: \sigma^2 \geq 0.0196

Alternative hypothesis: \sigma^2

Part b: Calculate the statistic

The statistic is given by:

\chi^2 =\frac{n-1}{\sigma^2_0} s^2

And replacing we got:

\chi^2 =\frac{17-1}{0.0196} 0.0121 =9.878

Part c: Calculate the p value

In order to calculate the p value we need to find first the degrees of freedom , on this case 17-1=16. And since is a left tailed test the p value would be given by:

p_v =P(\chi^2

In order to find the p value we can use the following code in excel:

"=CHISQ.DIST(9.878,16,TRUE)"

Part d: Conclusion

If we compare the p value we see that is higher than the significance level so then we have enough evidence to FAIL to reject the null hypothesis and we can't say that the true deviation is significantly lower than 0.14

May someone help it is just some quick math problems
Anni [7]

Question 1 Answer: 1cm= 3 feet. I say this because if there is 5 cm on the blueprint, you can do 3 feet for every cm and get 15 feet.

Question 2 Answer: 1 in=1.5 feet. 6÷4= 1.5 therefore the scale factor is 1.5

I can't quite see the other answers if you could zoom in i could answer those as well.

A) Find dy for 4y - 3xy + 8x = 0 and b) evaluate dy for x = 0 and dx = 0.05
Whitepunk [10]

Compute the differential for both sides:

4<em>y</em> - 3<em>xy</em> + 8<em>x</em> = 0

→   4 d<em>y</em> - 3 (<em>y</em> d<em>x</em> + <em>x</em> d<em>y</em>) + 8 d<em>x</em> = 0

Solve for d<em>y</em> :

4 d<em>y</em> - 3<em>y</em> d<em>x</em> - 3<em>x</em> d<em>y</em> + 8 d<em>x</em> = 0

(4 - 3<em>x</em>) d<em>y</em> + (8 - 3<em>y</em>) d<em>x</em> = 0

When <em>x</em> = 0, we have

4<em>y</em> - 3•0<em>y</em> + 8•0 = 0   →   4<em>y</em> = 0   →   <em>y</em> = 0

and with d<em>x</em> = 0.05, we get

(4 - 3•0) d<em>y</em> + (8 - 3•0) • 0.05 = 0

→   4 d<em>y</em> + 0.4 = 0

→   4 d<em>y</em> = -0.4

→   d<em>y</em> = -0.1

If XYZ ∼ LPN, what are the measures of the angles of XYZ
mash [69]

Answer: X = 62°, Y = 68°, Z = 50°

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given picture, the angles of Δ LPN are ∠L= 62° and ∠ N = 50°

By angle sum property of triangle ,

∠P=180°-(62°+50°)

⇒∠P=180°-112°

⇒∠P=68°

Hence, ∠P=68°

Since, ΔXYZ ∼ ΔLPN [given]

Also, the corresponding angles of similar triangle are equal.

Therefore,  ∠L=∠X 62° , ∠P=∠Y=68° and ∠ N =∠Z= 50°
