this makes 12 muffins

2 cups flour

3 tsps baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg

1 cup milk

1/4 cup oil

preheat oven. i usually do 350 F, increase the temperature if youd like them to cook faster but keep in mind youll need to check on them often with increased heat.

stir together your dry ingridents and in a seperate bowl beat your egg with a fork. stir in the milk and oil with the egg.

pour into your dry ingriedeints until everything is well mixed.

bake until golden

What is the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y =1/3 x + 4 and passes through the point (6, 5)?
lianna [129]

Answer:

y = \frac{1}{3} x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = \frac{1}{3} x + 4 ← is in slope- intercept form

with slope m = \frac{1}{3}

Parallel lines have equal slopes , then

y = \frac{1}{3} x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute (6, 5) into the partial equation

5 = 2 + c ⇒ c = 5 - 2 = 3

y = \frac{1}{3} x + 3 ← equation of parallel line

How many extraneous solutions exist for the logarithmic equation below if it is solved in the most efficient way possible?log_(2
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

No extraneous solution

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the logarithmic equation given by,

\log_{2}[\log_{2}(\sqrt{4x})]=1

i.e. \log_{2}(\sqrt{4x})=2^{1}

i.e. \sqrt{4x}=2^{2}

i.e. \sqrt{4x}=4

i.e. 4x=4^{2}

i.e. 4x=16

i.e. x=4

So, the solution of the given equation is x=4.

Now, as we domain of square root function is x > 0 and also, the domain of logarithmic function is ( 0,\infty ).

Therefore, the domain of the given function is x > 0.

We know that the extraneous solution is the solution which does  not belong to the domain.

But as x=4 belongs to the domain x > 0.

Thus, x = 4 is not an extraneous solution.

Hence, this equation does not have any extraneous solution.

EXPENSES: Camille has no more than $50.00 to spend each week for lunch and bus fare. Lunch costs $3.00 each day, and bus fare is
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

Inequality: 3.00 L + 1.75B \leq 50

She can afford to buy the lunch and bus rides

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Maximum\ Amount = \$50.00

Lunch = \$3.00 daily

Bus\ Fare = \$1.75 daily

Solving (a) The inequality

Let bus ride be represented with B and Lunch be represented with L

If 1 bus ride costs $1.75, then

B bus ride would cost $1.75 * B

If 1 lunch costs $3.00, then

L lunch would cost $3.00 * L

Total Spending is then the sum of the above expression i.e.

$3.00 * L + $1.75 * B

The question says Camille can not spend more than $50.00.

This is represented by less than or equal to.

So, the expression is:

3.00 * L + 1.75 * B \leq 50

3.00 L + 1.75B \leq 50

Solving (b): Can she afford 7 lunch and 14 bus ride?

To do this, we simply substitute 7 for L and 14 for B

3.00 * 7 + 1.75 * 14 \leq 50

21 + 24.5 \leq 50

45.5 \leq 50

The above inequality is true.

<em>Hence, she can afford to buy the lunch and bus rides</em>
