8 0

Answer: Statement 2 (P(odd number) = 1/2) is true

Step-by-step explanation:

Statement 1: there are 4 even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8) so therefore a 1/2 chance, not a 1/8. [FALSE]

Statement 2: there are 4 odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7) so therefore a 1/2 chance, so this is true. [TRUE]

Statement 3: 8 is the biggest number, so there are 7, not 1, numbers less than it. [FALSE]

Statement 4: there is no 9 on an 8 sided cube. [FALSE]

If you had 1 day to do anything... what would it be?
Minchanka [31]

Answer: Simple. All the things that I could possibly do.

There are many wishes that I hold and with the opportunity given to do anything for one day, who knows what I could do? But one of the most important thing that I would really like to do is to meet someone that I really have wanted to meet for so long. That's one of the things that I'd truly like to do. Another thing is to have as much fun as I can. Be able to go somewhere or to visit something, that would be really nice. of course there are more things that I'd like to do but it would just be too much to list. :)

The sum of two numbers is 18. 5 times the first number subtracted from 4/7 of the second number is 14. Find the number.
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

The sum of two numbers is 18.

5 times the first number subtracted from 4/7 of the second number is 14.

First number --> x

Second number --> y

so

x + y = 18 --> x = 18-y

5x - (4/7)y = 14

so

5 (18-y) - (4/7)y = 14

90 - 5y - 4/7 y = 14

-5.57 y = 14-90

y = 13.64

so

x = 18 - 13.64

x = 4.36
