Living things are alive. They need nutrients, water, and air to sustain themselves. All living things need food to endure, and all have similar but vastly different ways of obtaining food. They might be carnivorous, consuming all meat, herbivorous, eating only plants, or omnivorous, doing both.

They also need a way of reproduction; otherwise, they would not exist.

Non-living things are most likely to be made by a living thing, for example, nests, toys, and cars. Non-living things are inanimate objects. It does not need to do what living things need to do.

Discussion

I don't really think the narrator is unreliable. She is very astute in her reasoning. She tells us she would recognize the unknown woman if she saw her in the street.

If unreliable means that she is trying to figure out who the woman was, then yes, we cannot believe everything she is saying. She is trying to figure something out that she does not have the answer to.

We really don't have enough information to answer the question. That being said, I would pick A. She is trying to puzzle out who the woman was and what she was doing there.

Answer: A

Which of the following is the best example of use of voice in a writing assignment? A. a report on the effects of climate change
saw5 [17]
C is the correct answer, because if a written assignment is a 'humorous report', it means that it can be subjective, and that the author's personality is noticeable in the text. Whereas that is not the case in the other options.
