A city will soon be voting on a bond issue which will provide the necessary funds for a new middle school. The school board want

s to know how likely it is that the bond issue will pass. They randomly sample three groups of 200 people and ask each person whether they are for or against the bond issue. The results are recorded in the table below.
For Against
Sample #1 111 89
Sample #2 97 103
Sample #3 104 96

Based on the collected data, do you think the bond issue will pass or fail? How confident are you? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.
Using the mean of the samples, approximately how many of the 15,000 voters would you expect to vote against the bond issue?

A total of 600 people were asked.

A total of 312 people were for it.

312/600 = 0.52 = 52% were for it.

This means 100-52 = 48 % were against it.

Since more than 50% voted for it, it would most likely pass.

Since they used three separate sample groups I’d be confident that it passes.

15,000 x 48% = 7,200 would vote against it.

Which set of graphs can be used to find the solution set to 3e* > >-x?
kobusy [5.1K]

The attached graph represents the solution set of 3e^x > \frac 12^x

How to determine the graph?

The complete options are not given.

So, I would plot the graph that represents the solution set

The inequality is given as:

3e^x > \frac 12^x

Start by splitting the inequalities as follows:

f(x) > 3e^x

g(x) > \frac 12^x

The above means that we plot the graphs of f(x) and g(x) to represent the solution set

Y+2=1/3 (x+1) please can you help
miskamm [114]

Equation:

y + 2 = 1/3(x+1)

Assuming you are solving for Y:

y + 2 = 1/3(x) + 1/3(1)

(y + 2) - 2 = (1/3x + 1/3) - 2

y = 1/3x + 1/3 - 2

y = 1/3x - 5/3
