Take the 37 cents per stamp and convert this into a decimal, which is essentially $.37 .
Take this decimal and multiply it by 1,000 which results in 370!!

Another method in doing this is taking the decimal .37 and moving the decimal point one place to the right, for every zero there is in the number 1,000. So the end result would be 370.
