Eliza falls asleep at 9:35 pm and wakes up 8 hours and 45 miunets later, what time does she wake uo
alexdok [17]

Answer: Eliza wakes up at 6:25 A.M.

Step-by-step explanation:

What I did is first used the 45 minutes to make the time 10:00 P.M. which leaves you with 8 hours and 25 minutes, then i added the 8 hours onto 10:00 P.M. which leaves you at 6:00 A.M. with 25 minutes left, then you add the 25 minutes onto 6:00 A.M. which puts it at 6:25 A.M.

A three-bedroom house in North Augusta sold for $190,000. If housing prices are expected to increase 1.8% annually in that town,
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

we know that the initial price of the house is $190,000.

We also know that the expected increase is 1.8%, this means that the year zero we have no increase; the price is $190,000.

one year after we have an increase of the 1.8% (or 0.018 in decimal form), this means that the new price is:

$190,000 + $190,000*0.018 = $190,000*(1.018)

another year after, we have:

$190,000*(1.018)*(1.018) = $190,000*(1.018)^2

and etc

The function that models the price as a function of the years, represented as y, is:

P(y) = $190,000*(1.018)^y

If we want to know the price in 5 years, we need to replace y = 5 in the equation:

p(5) = $190,000*(1.018)^5 = $207,726.80

Step-by-step explanation:

hope this helps you

NISA [10]

For this case we must find the solution of the following quadratic equation:

x ^ 2 + 5x + 7 = 0

Where:

a = 1\\b = 5\\c = 7

Then, the solution is given by:

x = \frac {-b \pm \sqrt {b ^ 2-4 (a) (c)}} {2a}

Substituting the values:

x = \frac {-5 \pm \sqrt {5 ^ 2-4 (1) (7)}} {2 (1)}\\x = \frac {-5 \pm \sqrt {25-28}} {2}\\x = \frac {-5 \pm \sqrt {-3}} {2}

By definition we have:i ^ 2 = -1

x = \frac {-5 \pm \sqrt {3i ^ 2}} {2}\\x = \frac {-5 \pm i \sqrt {3}} {2}

Thus, we have two complex roots.

Answer:

The equation has no real roots.

PLEASE HELP!
Kitty [74]
You can reword the two equations as:

-5x-y=15 (Divide original value by 3)
-2x+6y=6

Then use elimination to find x:

-30x-6y=90 (Multiply by 6 to get y values to be same to cancel out)
-2x+6y=6

You're left with:

-32x=96. Which can then be solved to find x which is -3.

Then plug back in

-2x+6y=6

Now to: -2(-3)+6y=6.

Which reduces to 6+6y=6. So y=0.

To graph them, just reword the equations (yes once again) so that y is in front.

y=-5x-15 and y=(1/3)x+1
