French is a very popular language in which it expanded in many ways but mostly through settlements in new areas. Back in the late 1700's and early 1800's people from France were coming to now a day Canada because a lot of them liked it here. That is one way of it expanding, by new settlements. The other way- and not so popular- was because it could also have been the root to a new language. French is a lot like Spanish and English in a way so there is other ways that it could be like that too.
L’Amerique latine est née du désir de distinguer les pays francophones, hispanophones et lusophones de ceux qui parlaient I’anglais I’allemand ou toute autre langue. Ironiquement alors que I’Amérique latine a tendance à être principalement identifée à I’espagnol aujourd’hui les origines de I’Amerique latine sont étroitement liées à la France (J’espère que cela aide)

Answer:
FRANCK: What are you doing this weekend? CÉLINE: Me, not much, I have more money. Finally, I have enough to buy myself a hot chocolate and that's it. ÉMILIE: It depends on what we do. If you come to my place, it's okay, no need for money. MATHILDE: How much pocket money do you have? FRANCK: Me, my parents give me € 10 every Saturday. CÉLINE: Is that all? It's not important. Me, I have € 15 every Wednesday and sometimes, when the weekend arrives, I have nothing, despite my efforts to save. ÉMILIE: My mother gives me € 20 twice a month and despite my spending on magazines, I'm doing very well. FRANCK: Hey! it's the same as 10 € every Monday! When I was ... 10 years old, I believe, they gave me money once a month; but I was not doing it. I couldn't handle it, it was too hard. EMILIE: Why? FRANCK: I was spending everything pretty fast, so I negotiated this new system.
